    If I buy “company of heroes: opposing fronts” will I receive the original company of heroes content along with the two new armies, or will I just get the opposing fronts content?

    4v4 struggling as allies

    Hey guys, the last couple of weeks my team mate and I have really been struggling to win in 4v4 as allies. We've tried to adapt but it's been feeling kind of unplayable. We both have well over 600 hours into the game so we're not bad players. Are we just on a losing streak or is the 4v4 balance really wacky right now?

    What is the typical Soviet build order/ meta For 3V3? Most guides are outdated for new patches.

    Penals seems too expensive and too weak and conscripts seem to weak in general. I don't typically go for PPSh's for conscripts and while I do get the ptrs rifle and try to rush tanks with satchel charges typically failing as they can easily back up. This ends up with rushing squads back and constantly reinforcing them.

    Sometimes, depending on the Axis player I have to counter MG/ bunker spam with maxim spam although it doesn't seem successful in suppressing enemies and I can't get penals early by going for weapon support center.

    Lastly I build a half track and two t70s to do hit and run tactics, however the t70's always seem to be glass cannons when the axis can easily use munitions for panzer shrieks and wipe them out almost instantly. Finally my units often lose fewer numbers but soak more damage making halftracks seem useless

    TL;DR

    This is my typical build order:

    First Engineer: hotkey 3

    Conscript: hotkey 1 Molotov Penal: hotkey 1 Conscript: hotkey 2 Penal: hotkey 2 Field Hospital Engineer: hotkey 3 T-70: Hotkey 4 T-70: Hotkey 4 T-34: Hotkey 5 T-34: Hotkey 5 T-34: Hotkey 5

    Is wehrmacht the best faction in the game?

    This is NOT a post complaining about balance.

    They seem to have it all... Great mg, great at, great tanks, decent infantry and the late game tanks are insanely powerful. I don't really see a reason for playing OKW, as they are not a complete faction.

    How do you guys feel about OKW sturm offiziers?

    Just had a game using them for the first time. While their abilities have their uses (smoke grenades being the one I used most often), I feel like the two other abilities are lackluster. Force retreat may be good on MGs, but the munition cost and the buff to nearby enemy infantry does not make it seem worth it when I could have smoked and rush them instead. I have not used mark target very often, but I felt that it wasn't very cost effective as well. I know that they have removed his aura a couple months before, and made him better in combat, but I still felt getting another pfusiliers might be better.. I am considering using it as a core infantry, like cheap obers, but the manpower bleed is too limiting. Am I missing anything? Any tips on using them?

    Modding the vanilla SGD archives?

    Is that even a thing to do? I mean, how one can change or add something in, say, any file in Engine.sgd without making that a mod for his own reasons - like ducking up the game language. Yap I have a custom language on the game, Corsix Mod Studio doesnt support other languages than the official ones sadly.

    So far I tried to unpack the whole archive and repack it with Corsix's SGA Packer, only to see the filesize is like ~200 mb less than the original: 183 (modded) vs. 335 (original). Therefore the game wont even launch.

    What I'm missing?

    edit: typos edit2: i meant SGA instead of SGD... Also I tried using the Archiver.exe to compile a new SGA too, however no matter what I do, it's never working. this is the syntax I used:

    Archiver.exe -c Engine.sga -r Data (where the Data has the extracted file and Engine is the filename for the new archive

    edit3: I tried few different ways of running the archiver, none worked. Not sure anymore if this thing is what I need. Cmon Relic, at least you should have kept the modding page on your website still running, for god's sake.
