Introducing CoH2 Mythbusters, Hosted by ReanuKeevesCOH2 and RepoRogue!

    Posted: 15 Jan 2020 09:06 AM PST

Starting this Friday from noon to 2pm PST (GMT-8), /u/ReanuKeevesCOH2 and I will be hosting a new Twitch series on my Twitch channel. We'll be testing myths, theories, and just empirically exploring the game mechanics. We'd like to take audience suggestions, but have enough of our own questions about the game to make many episodes.

Episode 1 will test the following major "myth":

    1) How much impact does scatter have in tank duels?

We will also test the following minor "myths":

    1) What is the exact functionality of the Stuart's active abilities?

    2) How do the squad level and weapon rack upgrades interact with officer weapons?

Our goal with this series is to answer our own questions while sharing both our results and our testing methodology so that others can either replicate or refute our results. If you have any myths, game mechanics, or match-ups that you want to see tested, then let us know in the comments!

    Sexton & Valentine

    Posted: 15 Jan 2020 11:44 AM PST

In a previous patch the Sexton and Valentine were buffed. One of the changes was: "Supercharge Victor Creeping Barrage no longer shares a cooldown with the main barrage". I tested this with some friends in the CheatCommand Mod, but all barrage cooldowns (regular, veteran creeping and Valentine supercharge) all seem to share a cooldown. Does anyone know whatsup with this?

Also are there any benefits I'm missing besides longer range and (unintended) shorter cooldown using the Valentine ability over the Sextons own barrages?

    How to destroy Pak 43

    Posted: 15 Jan 2020 07:25 AM PST

So I've just had a 2v2 game as duo USF vs OKW and Ostheer. It was going rather ok, things were getting done, I had an m4 and a Jackson out But then the Ostheer player has built a Pak 43. How, I had what amounted to infantry superiority and could get to it and decrew it and even hang around for a short while... But my infantry couldn't destroy the gun, so I'd eventually have to leave and he'd recrew it and eventually I lost all my armour to it. So what are some effective means of destroying a Pak 43 as USF?

Anyone have thoughts/complaints on selection and issuing commands in CoH?

    Posted: 15 Jan 2020 09:37 AM PST

Asking because I want to create a list/video of the numerous frustrations that one can experience playing CoH. And maybe if it's good & the right eyes see it we could have some improvements in CoH3.

Nothing is too small to complain about here. Or suggest an alternate way you'd like something to work.

    Some examples:

Vaulting fences. You can totally click the ground between fence slats. Prepare to squint and lean in if you wanna try and vault a wire fence. The inverse fuckery applies here too. Didn't notice that wire fence or just mean to move to cover? Over you go!

Commanding a fight and you scooch your view. Now when you go to send a flank, you manage to find the top of a flag pole that creeped onto your screen and send your dudes off to BFE.

UBER-Huge,UBER-Magnetic minimap stars. Hell, I don't want any points to have magnetism. The mini map is how I send units to near'front positions while I'm focused on other stuff.

If you've got something under your skin about how stuff works in game, say it!

Do they not stick any more? Before I used to be able to just target a vehicle. Now it doesn't seem that way.

    P-47 Bombing Run

    Posted: 15 Jan 2020 02:21 AM PST

I feel like the P-47 Bombing run is a little too expensive at 250 Munitions...Personally I feel it should have been a Pair of P-47's. I should probably specify that Im talking about Tales Of Valor

    Ur Personal okw/ostheer Commander Ranking

    Posted: 15 Jan 2020 05:40 AM PST

Like the title says - I want to see what commanders other players love to play with as germans or hate to play against as allies.

I'm currently pretty stuck at level 14 in 2v2 with a mate im playing with nearly every day since a year and we r curious - which German commanders do you like or hate most. Maybe even make a little ranking with explanations? :)

    Thx

Why does Panzer IV have so much armor.

    Posted: 15 Jan 2020 01:34 AM PST

It doesnt even make any historical sense, it was mobile yes, but it had less armor than even T-34/76+it is a blocky tank with 0 chance of bouncing shells. It makes no sense for it to outperform T-34/76
