What is a good 4v4 build order for Soviets using Tier 2 (Support weapons)?

    Posted: 02 Apr 2020 12:48 AM PDT

The biggest problem I have is weighing Maxims, Mortars and Conscripts in the very early game, it seems like I can never win the war for fuel on my side. Since if they hold both fuels it's GG and in team games you can't depend on allies as much.

Biggest problem I'm facing is against early MG42s and immediately entrenching the fuel point if it's not being challenged. The Ostheer mortars 1v1s the Soviet mortar easily which makes it a slog over fuel when I can barely get the point, smoke barrage only works until both side stand in the point. And it's a stalemate.

Also, I wanted to know if conscripts have the same relative armor as penals so If merging conscripts is better than massing penal squads early?

Why is OKW grand offensive considered so strong?

    Posted: 01 Apr 2020 07:59 PM PDT

I play across all factions and in 4v4. I will admit, I of the OKW commanders, I always go feurstorm, because I think it's fun and I can do well with it.

Looking at grand offensive: Panzerfusiliers, Tank commander, smoke pots, aim-hack StGs, and Tiger.

The tiger seems ... underwhelming. If u don't have 9cp by the time you hit the resources to het it out, it just feels better to wait and get a KT out. I understand you can get the tiger with only 1 medium tech building(1 of battlegroup of mechanized) but getting the other one up to tech to KT is never more than 30 fuel 200 mp. All of this, and the KT has a better gun, range, and armor than a tiger.

Rest of the doctrine is good though. Tank commander on a panther or something to buff KT and other tanks. Smoke pots very easy to use, rather than manuevering leIG to smoke something, and special ober StGs are nice when you want them.

Am I missing something that just makes it god tier?

Suggestion: For USF's Urban Assault Company, switch the Sherman Calliope with the Sherman Crocodile.

It's both technically more adherent to the doctrine and it adds a unique unit for it.

The model is available in the 172 units mod and it's basically a sherman with a flamethrower mounted on the hull.

    USF Grenade underpowered?

    Posted: 01 Apr 2020 04:16 PM PDT

Seems like I can get a good grenade thrown into a setup mg or infantry clustered together. I'm lucky to get 2 wiped. While the axis grenade can wipe a whole squad with full health. It's kinda getting infuriating. (I only play against AI) Is their a trick to this or is it just underpowered?

    Ostheer German Infantry Doctrine

What is the veteran squad leader weapon bonus for the grenadier squads, is it a G43?

    There is a rifle icon.

What other bonuses does the squad leader grant?

Been playing with the doctrine lately and loving it.

How to deal with G43 units?

    Posted: 01 Apr 2020 05:19 AM PDT

These things are so annoying and I have yet to find a way to counter them, they literally win against my Riflemen at close range which is bruh, and they snipe my retreating squads from miles away. Because of this they also have the early game, which makes them get tanks pretty early so I can't get like a Pershing or a Sherman HE because they already have several tanks.
