Are sturmpioneers reliable infantry? Posted: 09 Nov 2020 08:06 PM PST Hello comrades, I played the OKW for the first time today and I noticed that the sturmpioneers are more expensive than volks, and they have better guns. But they are still pioneers. Should I field sturmpioneers instead of volks when I can? [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Nov 2020 10:24 PM PST Having a lot of trouble with this commander. This is the scenario I find myself in when playing against it: Sturmpioneer blobs with flame throwers backed by Obers is trying to swallow my forces. Fights have to be fast since the leig is bombing my position with fire balls of death. I usually rely on a mortar pitt for indirect fire but there's no way to protect it, because the leig fire bombs are cheap and constant. Idk. What do [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Nov 2020 01:34 PM PST I seem to get this with certain players. The butthurt ones that quit early when their mg span or whatever failed. Then I get no points :( How do they do it? [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Nov 2020 09:09 PM PST I just got this game through the XBOX game pass for PC. I can't find any pvp games and there are no custom games. I tried turning off firewall to see if that was causing issues but still no games are available. Am I doing something wrong or does no one play anymore? [link] [comments]

Thoughts on the US fighting position defensive structure. Posted: 09 Nov 2020 05:45 AM PST The US fighting position in my mind is incredibly weak. I haven't looked at the exact stats but I can tell you from experience that they're basically sand castles when put to use. The OKW rakatenwerfer can destroy it in three to four hits at long range, and considering the range it already has, it can pummel the fighting position from afar while the only thing you have to counter it is artillery, that will only start to become useful after the position is already destroyed. On top of that, the .50 cal upgrade is also quite useless with its narrow firing arc and the fact that it can't use armour piercing rounds as the mobile version can. The rakatenwerfer will destroy it long before it becomes pinned. For saying the US forces are more versatile in offense and defense, the OKW have significantly better defensive options like their mobile schwerer panzer headquarters and their very own flak position (also used at base); albeit only buildable from certain doctrines. The US forces have access to tank traps, sandbags, and wire by default, giving them the defensive edge. But if OKW go for fallschirmjäger or fortifications, their defensive options are significantly more powerful in contrast. Even the flak position can take multiple HE rounds from a Sherman or M8A1 howitzer, that would destroy the US fighting position in 6 seconds flat. Infact, the Chad flak position wildly outperforms the virgin fighting position. It has 360° field of fire, explosive rounds, suppression in seconds from the first salvo, is more sturdier, and can even go toe to toe with light tanks such as the M5A1 Stuart. Hell, it's also an AA gun to deny you air support. If they place a flak position on a crossroads, it can be incredibly tough to take it down, especially if they deploy them at the start before you even have a lieutenant or captain out. The USF are incredibly munitions and fuel intensive for having near useless defenses, glass canon tanks, and expensive weapon upgrades. This isn't an "AXIS OP PLS NERF" post, but it just came to my mind after watching a helpless fighting position of mine die within the first 5 minutes of the match to a rakatenwerfer while my mortar might as well have been a hamster blowing on them from a mile away.
