Community Code of Conduct and Player Reporting

    Posted: 06 Dec 2019 05:47 PM PST

    Hey everyone,

We've recently published an updated Community Code of Conduct for the franchise.

    https://community.companyofheroes.com/discussion/246443/community-code-of-conduct#latest

All players should read this document, as it is relevant to everyone.

Secondly, and related to this code of conduct, we have now implemented a new procedure for reporting players.

    https://community.companyofheroes.com/discussion/246442/player-reporting-guidelines#latest

Check out the above links on the official forums!

    Thanks,

    Andy

    Trouble with Brits

    Posted: 06 Dec 2019 07:59 PM PST

So I can pretty easily handle hard AI with any other faction but oh my god do I get stomped using Brits. I know they kind of always been the weaker of the factions but re they really that brokenly weak right now? Is there a single build order that works? Or has the Hard AI gotten more cheats in a recent patch?

    Great news for the community!

    Posted: 06 Dec 2019 05:23 PM PST

So I just opened CoH2 and saw this posted on the main screen

    https://community.companyofheroes.com/discussion/246443/community-code-of-conduct/p1?new=1

This post explains in detail how Relic's investigation on cheating, insulting and other forms of griefing works and how we can report people.

I'd like to thanks a bunch the people at Relic for making things easier and clearer now, big respect.

The state of team games vs Axis players.

    Posted: 06 Dec 2019 12:33 PM PST

This game will never be balanced for team games, and I'm not expecting it to be. However, the long range TD's the axis teams have access to are plain un-fun to play against. The Tiger, Tiger Ace and KT are good but they're balanced by allied TD's having the ability to zone them out. Yet they are strong enough to dive on a weak TD and with their strong armor be able to escape. However, doctrines with heavy Axis TD's are super strong even without the Elefant/Jagdtiger (Breakthrough and Jager Armor come to mind.) This completely negates any armor the allied team has. They have longer range, stronger armor, bigger guns, and are backed up by strong tanks such as a Panther. There are situations where there is almost nothing the Allied team can do to come back when these units are on the field. ISU-152? Outranged. 17 Pounder? Jadgtiger aim shot out ranges it. Even with a map and army advantage, the Axis team can slowly crawl their way to victory by pushing your tanks, and therefore your army, back. This isn't me whining about game mechanics, moreso just wanting to get a sense of both allied and axis players on these tanks. Heavy Axis tanks bring variety to the game, and as a mostly allies player it can be fun trying to outmaneuver a Tiger. But the heavy TD's do nothing but trap players and ruin the game.

Which are your least favourite maps to play on each game mode?

    Posted: 06 Dec 2019 03:35 PM PST

for me 3v3 ettelbruck station because of the OKW cheese with reinforced barbed wire. Absolutely unbeatable, because if they block off the top command point you can't get vision and you won't be able to get rid of it either since anything you send gets sturmpioneered to death.

Angermunde is the second-place because it has so many dumb spots you can get camped from regardless which faction you play.

For 4v4 it has to be the two express maps. Its such a pain in the ass to flank on those maps/impossible if the opponent is dug in unless you have are much more skilled than the opponent.

    Anti blob tactics as osheer?

    Posted: 06 Dec 2019 11:07 AM PST

I know this question has been asked many times but how the hell you deal with the damn blobs? Especially soviets 80% of soviets i play against are always blobbing! I've searched the net for tactics but most of them are out of date.. also i play 1v1s most of time. So anyone tips vs soviet blobbing in 1v1s is appreciated

help on maps like Crossing , elsts and such

    Posted: 06 Dec 2019 07:02 AM PST

Me my friend plays 2v2 allies (me sovs + he usf/sovs). Our general plan is for one of us to go on one side and the other to go middle. And then he tries to defend our territory and I try to attack and flank (yep even if he is usf he does that). if we loose a side then we defend mid and try to get other side. But in maps like crossing/elts outskirts there are only to sides and it's kinda hard for us. So any advice for noobs like us. And thanks in advance.

How many hit points do they have in a converted building? I just played a game where my flak ht, shreck pios and rak where firing on it nonstop for 5 minutes, and it still had a third of its health when the t70 came. There's simply no other building in the game like it. Yes i know flame weapons are more effective. But point stands.
