Pershing? Is it worth it? Maybe im using it wrong?

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 12:07 PM PST

The description in game states that it is like a panther, yet it needs 45 more fuel to a whopping 230 fuel and yet it can barely beat a panther..

Seems rather unremarkable and a waste of fuel when compared to the coh1 pershing that could stand it's ground against a tiger.

And the armour is rather meh as well.

Am I supposed to use it as a beefed up E8? Tried using it like a tiger to soak up damage but it isn't good enough..

Not go for it at all?

    Jackson HVAP

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 12:51 PM PST

Can anyone here explain the exact behavior and most efficient way of loading HVAP rounds for the Jackson? In terms of timing does it make sense to reload right after a regular shot, right before a shot is fired or does timing not matter anymore? I remember there being 🧀 like with the Pershing ability, but that was changed for the Persh.

Please make Brits playable in 1v1 so I can enjoy my hobby again

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 07:59 AM PST

I don't want to go into the current problems of Brits in automatch since they are well documented and I'm sure you're all bored of hearing about it, I just want to make an emotional plea to whoever might be reading who might be able to influence the timeline.

I don't have a lot of free time, but hopping onto CoH2 and playing the one faction I had any idea of how to play with any success was always a highlight of my day. Maybe in years' past I could've remastered a different faction, but this game to me isn't CoH2, it's Brit 1v1 Automatch 2. It's all I had time to learn and now I'm stuck with them.

With the current state of them, I can't even be bothered to open the game on Steam. They're not a faction that ever had those big rewarding breakthroughs in the first place, but with the one unit who could give you a bit of a foothold in the early game nerfed into oblivion, it's an exercise in futility. I just drop ranks until i'm playing someone well below my level.

I appreciate that for players of other factions the previous state of Brits could be frustrating, but it was situational and you'd be hard pressed to call them overpowered as a faction. They certainly weren't tearing up tournaments or doing enough damage in order to effectively make them redundant as a 1v1 faction, meaning all us poor casual saps are left with the choice of either dumpnig them entirely or just uninstalling the game.

My sole interaction with the game right now is logging onto this board to see any news of an upcoming patch, and I've never been one to balance whine until the last set of changes.

    Case Blue: TigerAce on general

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 11:20 AM PST

Is there a way to beat that TOW mission on General after all those changes? The Tiger is way too weak to beat all those guys. After like 15 tries I reached the end of the mission and faced three KW2 which are impossible to destroy.

I would appreciate any tips, I completed the others on general without any big troubles, but this one just broke me.

    Dislodging entrenched OKW as Soviets?

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 09:00 AM PST

My buddies and I typically play team games (3v3 or 4v4) and we've been doing so for about a year. However, lately I've been struggling with how to counter OKW players that dig in around the fuel points or important choke points. We typically try rushing for the fuel first and focus on securing one or both when possible. However, if we get countered and the OKW gets dug in, I find it really hard to remove them.

I'm guessing artillery is the best bet, but not sure which one to focus on to destroy those forward points. Heavy mortars? Katys? Bigger guns?

What are some tips for dislodging the OKW once they are setup?

    Pathfinders mechanics?

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 09:54 AM PST

When I use a pathfinder for vision and have them on hold fire. What is used to see these units or provide vision for my enemy? I'm finding more way to use that utility and just not sure how visin works on them when they're in cover cloaked.

There should be 1 corssroads in matchmaking

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 07:46 AM PST

Having 2 crossroads will just makes players who dont like crossroads use 2 vetoes instead of 1 which can be anoying sometimes because I am a person who uses all 5 vetoes and there is no point in having 2 crossroads.

Here are my 2 cents on CoH3

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 06:59 AM PST

First of all, I'm going to skip the whole "Is CoH3 coming??" part and just assume that it is (since I believe that after Dow4 in 2020-2021 Relic is going to start working on Coh3).

I am going to assume that the player base is not just going to buy a copy of Coh2 with better graphics so Relic is surely going to add something, right?

    Content

I think that the game is still going to be about ww2 (focusing on Europe), why not the Korean war or the Pacific theater I hear you say? Simply put, I am afraid that an important chunk of the playerbase is not going to appreciate (considering the fact that they don't get the proper recognition) it as much as a Europe centered game.

    Factions

If, and I repeat, IF Relic adds a new faction it is, in my opinion going to be Italy. What would that mean? Either that we are playing slightly before 1943 (the year in which Italy had the civil war) as the Fascist's Italy Forces (Regio Esercito) or during the civil war but before the RSI (Repubblica Sociale Italiana) fell, and we would be able to play with a mixture of Italian and German forces.

Italy would probably be a infantry focused faction with support from light vehicles, tankettes, scout cars and a few very specialized tanks (minus the P40, it's main battle tank) Italy had some very big problems with munitions and weapon/tank production so I think that they should earn fuel and munitions at a slower pace as well as build tanks (but not tankettes) more slowly than the other factions. Since Italian tanks are going to be fragile they are going to rely on speed and abilities to counter the enemy; infantry however would be Italy's strong point: Italian infantry was, while not very well equipped, quite brave and could count on Alpine and Paratrooper divisions that could turn the tide the of battle. In short I think that Italian infantry should be kind of weak when starting out (we are talking about a 5 man conscript squad, for reference) but could get upgraded with smgs (MAB 38), Mgs (Breda 30 lmg) or lend-lease weapons from the Germans (Panzershreks or Mg42s) but at a high price. Italians would also get elite infantry (probably Alpine troops) capable of ambushing the enemy and fighting in cold weather or difficult terrain with ease (think of them as British commandos) or Paratroopers that could focus on daring raids behind the enemy lines. Italy would be a faction capable of unleashing light and medium tanks, how would they work? In short Italy would be able to deploy L3 tankettes (the L3-35lf variant with a flamethrower and a L3/35 tankette); The L6/40 Light tanks; The M11/39-M11/40 medium tank (think of it as a panzer 3) and the P40 (it's MBT).

    Mechanics

In my opinion the last mechanic that could be added to this game would be a morale sistem, here is how it works: Every unit has a miracle value that goes from -2 to +2 and starts at 0; certain actions would increase or decrease the unit's morale, for example a friendly plane flying over them would increase it, facing a tank would lower it (lessened it the unit has AT weaponry), and so on. What would morale do? It would increase the reload speed and accuracy of the unit as well as decrease the damage taken for infantry or increase attack speed, acceleration and accuracy of tanks or light vehicles.

    Campaign

It would probably be interesting to see a campaign focused around a group of Italian troops sent over to the Soviet Union to aid their ally and facing the Red Army with a mixture of Italian and German units.

This post was made by a non native English speaker on a phone, so point out any error I have made and share your opinion. Please let us not be political and be nice to each other.
