How do we get 4v4 and 3v3 balanced in with 1v1 and 2v2?

    Posted: 18 Feb 2020 10:16 PM PST

From reading the posts here im getting the impression that people believe large team games are not balanced and favor the Germans.

I happen to agree with this. There's a few German things that are easy to get around in small games but are cheesy in team games. I'm sure the German players would like to share the same for the allies.

But my question is: How do we balance the game so that it is balanced for all size games

Larger maps? So units have room to maneuver?

Do we give different stats to units in larger team games?

    What do you think?

    1941 doctrine?

    Posted: 18 Feb 2020 03:14 PM PST

Should this game add a doctrine for Ostheer in which they only have tanks from 1941? In the theater of war there are Stug 3 and P4s with shitty main guns that were accurate at the time. I know the P4 command tank is basically a 1941 P4, but I still just want a shitty p4. I just want to use shitty tanks for the memes but this could actually be a dumb strat that works like osstruppen. The tanks could be cheaper than the actual ones and so you could get armor out faster. You should be able to deploy Panzergreniders with anti tank rifles too.

Why did the developers cherry pick German and allied tanks? Most were either extremely rare, slow or unreliable. There are heavier tanks they could have given both sides that were actually used en mass. It fuels the biased perception that German armor was superior which is mostly wrong.

Edit: I think this goes without saying, but please read first, then downvote. I'm not suggesting that everyone should get nerfed. Just that consistency should exist.

    First let's discuss the elephant:

The elephant was made from Ferdinand tanks which were made from rejected porche tanks that were extremely heavy and unreliable.

    Only about 90 were built.

    https://youtu.be/Qx2-jLNHdzY

    Now the Strumtiger:

In total only 18 or so were built.

    https://youtu.be/TaVKGJ0I_W0

Soviet Tanks in WW2: A few stand out in both production and armaments

For instance, the KV-2 was a rare tank with only 300+ build.

However there were really good medium and heavy tanks that aren't in the game:

T-44 medium tank: 1,823 built. Too late

IS-3 Heavy Tank: 2,311 built. Too late

SU-100 Self Propelled Gun: +2,335 built (more than the SU-85 in game).

    https://youtu.be/KWaF9hLFdmQ

Now for a German tank comparison:

Again similar problem exist with giving the Germans tanks that they hardly used.

    They should have used:

Heavy assault gun: Strumgeschütz III: 10,086 were built or Strumgeschütz IV with 1,108 tanks.

Self Propelled anti tank gun: Hetzer: 2,827 were built.

    Jagdpanther: 415 were built

    Jagdpanzer IV: 2,000 were built

For instance, Panzer II luchs: 100 were built when they could have used Panzer 35(t) or Panzer 38(t) with +400 and +1,800 built respectively.

    https://youtu.be/eub93nHvn8Q

    Now let discuss American Tanks:

Light Tank M24 Chafee: 4,731 were built.

Medium Tanks M4A1 Sherman: 6,281 were built.

T26E4 Perishing: No this should not be in the game! But, 25 were made instead of 18 strumtigers making it more justified. By the same logic the M6 heavy tank should be in the game with 40 in total made.

Finally where the fuck is the M18 hellcat ingame? 2,507 of them were made and were used on the western front to great success.

    https://youtu.be/34cXvKAl2Fs

    Now for the United Kingdom:

    Cruiser Tanks:

Cruiser MK V: 1771 were built.

Cruiser MK VI, Crusader: 5,300 were built.

    Infantry Tanks:

Matilda II, Why the fuck isn't this in the game either? It was a staple of the British army. 2,987 were built.

    https://youtu.be/fvayNzmDSt8

This is all I have to say, it would be nice if both sides were given access to decent tanks mid and late game. I don't want an IS-2 to deal with an elephant, I want an IS-3 call in. Not at the same price as the IS-2 but more expensive obviously. I would prefer to see realistic armor fielded rather than a fantasy that Germany mass produced strum tigers or elephants and countries didn't produce heavier tanks when they did.

What patch will give Germany the Ratte or the Maus?

Will the United States get a "Tactical Nuclear Strike Call in?"

All joking aside, I'm not saying the game isn't balanced in 1v1 or 2v2. Team games of 3v3 and 4v4 though result in late game unbalanced gameplay. When in reality the Soviet Union and The United States had heavier armor that isn't available in doctrines.

Just looking for tips in general, any gamemode.

Idk why but I've really taken a shining to these bois. They are excellent for a kind of patient but relentless playstyle. Plus they are so cost effecient!
