This would be a fun meme unit to add. Boys AT, Bren gun and Mortar all in one mobile unit.

Patch needed to wash away our sins

People often say Katyusha's are too OP, honestly I feel the complete opposite, I often get terrible accuracy and precision when firing. Do most people pull Katyusha's up to the closest point and fire? Only when I do this is it extremely deadly, accurate and precise.

Additionally, are Walking Stukas ever affected by range? They always seem to be 100% accurate and 100% precise. It will always eviscerate team weapons or any infantry close together due to crappy unit pathing. Isn't the nature of any artillery in WWII to be inaccurate? Hence the expression "firing for effect".

The infantry support gun is like this as well (especially with veterancy) chasing my retreating tank and hitting it directly in a game once, all the way back to base. I'm sure countless other things also have percision accuracy. Can anyone list some offhand so I know what to avoid?

Universal carrier buff and a life improvement for UKF

Universal carrier buff and a life improvement for UKF

The universal carrier was basically a taxi for infantry, wounded and light to medium equipment and almost all of the powers in ww2 had a variant of it but since i will talk only about the UKF i will only mention some variants that were made by the commonwealth forces and no modifications that require a redesign of the UC or by other factions (German and American variants)

First of all i would add the ability for units inside of the UC to be capable of using their rifles and light armaments (Bren guns, PIAT s, BOYS (but not the sniper, only tank hunters)). I would like to hear your reasoning against it if there is any.

Secondly i would suggest a third upgrade for the UC which would be the 2" mortar variant (since the 3" mortar variant required a completely new chassis). It would give the Brits an early mobile mortar but since it is more mobile than a normal mortar crew it would need some tweaking and balancing even though it is a weaker mortar. The 3" mortar pit would still be superior in most ways to the UC so to not make it obsolete if this were ever added. I reckon the cost of upgrading to the mortar variant would be the same or a bit less then the WASP upgrade and would be unlocked after building the Platoon command post as to prevent having T0 mortar and mg.

Also, all British platoons had a 2" mortar mostly used used for smoke shells (sometimes HE, flares and white phosphorus, but i would limit the UC to only have smoke and a light HE barrage since it is a weaker mortar than the rest). So since the IS would be op if they could pop smoke whenever they felt like it and the Royal engineers already have a ton of abilities, maybe the UC could have that role with the 2" mortar for delivering 2 smoke shells from a reasonable distance.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on everything i stated and proposed here.

Edit: tweaked the concept a bit

Long time RTS fan, wanted to try company of heroes, wondering if I should start out with 1 or 2- I'm worried 1 might feel a little too dated. Thanks!

What is your USF Build Order?

    Mine is usually

    Rifleman > Rifleman > Mortar> Ambulance Or Rifleman>Mortar>Rifleman>Ambulance

Depending on if I am facing a Wehr player.

Guys, I think I just figured out the tank part of Ostheer vs Soviets.

    Posted: 19 Mar 2020 05:50 AM PDT

Right, so you know about the fact that non-doctrinally speaking the soviets get no access to special vehicle late game, and ostheer gets no access to light tanks. For those, you require doctrines for that.

Every single medium tank hq contains an anti-infantry unit, a medium tank, and a tank destroyer. Doctrines or not make up for the other vehicles.

T4 ostheer gains access to a premium medium tank, an armoured anti-infantry tank, and rocket artillery. The soviets can obtain those by selecting doctrinal units: t34-85 (premium medium), armoured anti-infantry tank (kv1), and the anti-infantry tank (kv-8).

On the other hand, the soviet T3 gains access to three light vehicles - a reinforce truck with a weapon upgrade (ost has that), anti-infantry light tank, and cheap assault gun. Also T2 has the early game clown car. Ostheer gains access to those doctrinally (with effective roles swapped) by a puma and a stug 3 E, whereas the clown car is obtained by the 251/2 truck.

In terms of 1-limit heavy tanks, both factions have three of them, all doctrinal units. Both get an all-rounder heavy tank (is2 and tiger 1), tank destroyer/assault gun (elefant/isu152), and something that deals a lot of damage (tiger ace/kv2). I don't even know where the command tank fits in all this.

Thank you for listening to my ramblings.
