COMPANY OF HEROES BOARD GAME - Blood and Honor - Additional Players needed Posted: 24 Jun 2020 04:40 PM PDT Hello all, off the back of the title of this post: I'd like to introduce you to a board game designed by myself, a friend, and in collaboration with the Eastern Front mod developer; Black Bishop. "Blood and Honor" Blood and Honor is a turn-based World War Two War Simulator which fuses the long term map-based strategy elements of classic board games like Risk and Axis and Allies with real time battle resolution built off of the Company of Heroes game engine. The game takes place in the European theater shortly after the allied invasion of Normandy, and features three allied and three axis factions: The allied players can choose to command the US, Great Britain, and the Soviet Union, while axis players can choose between three subsets of the German War Machine: The Wehrmacht, the SS Panzer Elite, and the Eastern Ostheer Alliance. Each faction features their own unique roster of units, weapons, and abilities, and each come with their own strengths and weaknesses which must be considered and navigated to get an upper hand on your opponents and successfully win the war. The campaign map and board itself is divided into historically accurate regions complete with their own unique divisions of various resources that must be utilized to build your armies and expand your borders. Each region is assigned its own unique battlefield, which takes form as a map available for play within the game engine. By taking turns collecting resources, building infrastructure, recruiting troops, and conducting offensives, players will vie for control of the European theater and will themselves decide the fate of each battle by directly controlling their own troops on the battlefield. Essentially this is a board game which overall uses both Table Top Simulator and Company of Heroes to play. If anyone who is interested, has been shown a demo of the game, and wishes to participate may receive a copy of either game in order to join. We have been running tests and about ready for a full fledged campaign, but we need about one or two more players to take their seat at our table to engage in WW2 Strategy! We're all friendly, fun, and easy going. Please reach out to me through Steam or Discord (preferably Discord: Michaelcycle13#9918) [link] [comments]

Stats on Rear Echelon with BARs? Posted: 24 Jun 2020 12:41 PM PDT Looking at this new chart: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1IX68mtMEFLUVZCJpdgLxtm9cLajZATNRwISihru8rZM/edit#gid=0 US RE have considerably low accuracy, but perform best at close range. I wonder how this works with BARs and zooks? Is it worth loading them up with support weapons or are they best as blockers? [link] [comments]
USF Commander Idea: Heavy Armor Company Posted: 24 Jun 2020 08:09 AM PDT 0CP: Sherman Easy 8's (build) 2CP: Smoke Barrage- same as in the ranger company. 3CP: Lock Down- toggle ability that gives light vehicles a sight increase, medium tanks a fire rate increase, and range increases to Jackson's and Pershing's, takes short time to toggle (turn engine on/off) 10CP: P47 Rocket Stafe- vector based anti-tank strike, functionally similar to the one from the campaign and the Soviet Airborne commander. 12CP: Pershing Heavy Tank I'm envisioning a top-heavy commander for the USF that, while lacking abilities in the early/mid game, can make them competitive in the late game vs elite German armor. The real star for this commander would be the "Lock Down" toggle ability. Granted it would not be an instant toggle either. I thought of it while replaying the PE campaign in CoH1. Basically you will sacrifice mobility for buffs is key areas. Light vehicles will get a sight buff similar to the spotting scopes on a 222. Medium tanks like the Easy 8 will get a fire rate increase similar to the combined arms ability or a hull-down panzer 4. Jackson's and the Pershing, with their 90mm guns, will get a max range increase. The theory is that no single buff will be ideal on their own. Jacksons may have the added range but they will need sight, hence the light vehicle sight buff. And both would need protection from infantry and flanking tanks, hence the medium tank buff. But the medium tank would be vulnerable to tank destroyers, hence the range buff. It would really emphasise having a diverse army group instead of spamming elite/doctrinal units in the late game.
