Does the balance team need any help with anything? How can I pitch in?

    Posted: 11 Aug 2020 05:30 PM PDT

Just wondering if you guys need any manpower/brainpower.

I like this game and it's scene and would like to help carry the flame.

I'm by no means a pro player, I'd say I'm at best 'decent', but I believe that I understand this game well even if I have spaghetti hands and meatball micro.

All that aside I'm just wondering how I can help.

Rangers or Shock Troops? [Learn this Fact]

    Posted: 11 Aug 2020 09:07 PM PDT

I asked many players this question:

    Rangers or Shock Troops?

Most of them answered: Shock Troops!

But I test both squads with my friend and the fact is that "Rangers" are better than Shock Troops! Here is why:

    Pros:

    1. Their upgraded Thompson is much powerful than STs SMGs (a group of 5 Rangers can beat a group of 6 Shock Troops from close-range, both in cover with no star rank)
    2. Many people get shocked to know this fact, but it's true: Rangers are the only squad in the game who can pick up 3 weapons from the weapon rack (3 Bazooka or 3 Machine gun), which they are specialist in holding Bazookas (More Penetrations). Also, if you've already upgraded their Thompson, they still can take 1 Bazooka or Machine gun!
    3. They are cheaper than Shock Troops
    4. Combining two squads of Bazooka and Thompson Rangers can make Germans back to Berlin :))
    5. If they get 3 stars rank, they become very bad a**. They can take down a Panther easily.

    Cons:

    1. They don't have smokes (Having a captain squad with them solves the smoke problem)
    2. Their Thompson upgrade costs 90 munitions which are not cheap
    3. Giving them 3 Bazookas cost 150 munitions if you lose the entire squad, well... you must struggle to back on your feet.
    4. Giving them Thompsons + 1 Bazooka cost 140 munitions.
    5. Their Squad size is 5 which is average

I hope you learned a lesson!

Now move your A** and play as the US right now!

Do you think the iron harvest multiplayer scene will be successful at launch?

    Curious what people think.

Not long ago everyone was saying it was the next coh but now that sentiment seems to have quietened (though that may simply be because they are too busy playing the demo to post on reddit).

    Why/Why not?

    Panzer jager doctrine

This seems amazing for a commander idea. THIS IS NOT MINE i took it from google images when i found it i have never seen it spoke about and honestly think this would be a amazing OKW commander.

Again this isnt mine i dont claim it i am simply trying to inform people this exists. And please argue if this would work or not in the comments or tell me if you think it should be added maybe a revolution to have this added to the game could take place lol.

    240mm USF artillery barrage

    Posted: 11 Aug 2020 02:07 AM PDT

While I have my fair share of hours in CoH2 now, mostly as Ostheer and OKW, there's only one thing in the game that I find blatantly impossible to properly counter: the 240mm artillery barrage that the USF can deploy with their Armour doctrine.
Now, USF players will state that it's not worth using due to extremely inaccurate shells, but for me, that is exactly what makes it so terrifying: I don't know where the next shell will land in that massive area. With most artillery, you can see the danger zone and get out of there quickly, or rough it out with armoured vehicles. But with the 240mm, that's simply impossible to do: a direct hit brings most heavy tanks down to 60% health, or wipes an infantry squad in cover without problems. The only way I have found a counter to this is to fall back with infantry outside the zone, and let my valuable tanks move back to repair them quicker.
As OKW, falling back can be a death sentence, as you lose the hard-earned ground you need to keep to stand a chance late-game. So what can I do to counter this? Denying sightlines is not working, due to the aforementioned massive range. Denying ammo is something I try, but after a while the USF player will have enough ammo if they save it up.
