I merged a full con squad into a zis right as the 2nd crewman died and the entire squad followed the last crewman as he fled off the map.

What is the cheapest tactic to use (out of all the factions)

    Posted: 22 Aug 2020 06:52 PM PDT

I rarely play coh 2 as I'm busy playing the first one and I wanted to know if some of the more questionable tactics used on the first one translated well to the second.

So please what's the cheapest tactic you all have witnessed or perhaps employed yourself for that sweet victory screen?

    Korean CoH casters

    Posted: 22 Aug 2020 09:24 AM PDT

Brits are just better ostheer, change my mind.

    Posted: 22 Aug 2020 07:38 PM PDT

They play like having every commander active at once, and on top of that are allowed to choose an additional one.

Meanwhile ostheer needs a commander just to get basic line infantry.

    Master league player analysis/ratings

    Posted: 22 Aug 2020 01:40 AM PDT

Im bored so Im gonna do something I usually like to do with football players. Giving a quick evaluation and rating of every master league participant. For reference I love to watch a LOT of streams and observer games. I've also played most of them even though that was quite some time ago in most cases. It's purely about player strength. No offense to any of the players.

Luvnest: Overall strongest player. No real weaknesses. More on the conservative side in terms of playstyle. Strongest endurance, doesn't tilt. However he's far from his peak in terms of mechanics. Prefers vanilla factions, which works in his favor when it comes to Axis but could be a disadvantage when he plays Allies. (9.5/10)

Noggano: Similar to Luvnest. Extremely well rounded player with good mentality. He's also slightly past his peak. (9/10)

AsiaMint: Considered by most to be the strongest 1v1 player right now. This one is hard to judge for me because I haven't seen that many games by him and he doesn't seem to take automatch particularly seriously. His playstyle is pretty standard except maybe for his infatuation with the OKW and the Flak halftrack in particular. Picking OKW could very well become a disadvantage. Last MasterLeague has shown that he's not completely untiltable. (9,5/10)

Kimbo: Very unit wipe centered playstyle. Very little focus on map control. Playstyle shifts from borderline campy at times to super aggressive when the right moment arises. Capable of very surprising game ending attacks. Endurance seems good but not as good as Luvnests. Doesn't tilt. (10/10)

VonIvan: Extremely reliant on map control. Fantastic at maintaining map control with relatively few units. Worst unit preservation in the tourney. Great at all in attacks. Great at managing big late game engagements. Not very good in stalemate situations that require beating the opponent slowly and methodically. Good endurance. Untiltable. (8/10)

DevM: Strongest early game player. Inconsistent. Can be worn out by super resiliant late game players if his early aggression doesn't pay off. (9/10)

VonAsten: Very good well rounded player who I haven't seen play in a long time. Presumably very rusty. (7/10)

Isi: Might very well be the best player in the game when playing at his peak. Extremely good and precise micromanagement. Very intelligent player who always picks the right engagements. Very well rounded. Inconsistent when playing tourneys but with most other people not being at their peak he's my favorite to win. (10/10)

HelpingHans: Very solid player who most of the time plays fairly defensively. At his peak one of the best coh2 players. Good endurance but very tiltable and stressed out while playing. Completely rusty. (7/10)

AshaBlois: Very strong brit player. Standard 2020 coh2 playstyle. Seems to be able to deal well with sniper manpower drain as brit. The other factions are weaker but stilm good. (8.5/10)

Seeking: 1v1 player with a playstyle that is reminiscent of 2v2 a lot of the time especially during the late game. Units tend to be close to each other. In certain respects he's similar to Kimbo. Seems to have good mentality. (8.5/10)

Koes: Good aggressive player. Sometimes lacks game sense. Weak vs non meta strats. Very inconsistent. Easy to tilt. (7/10)

Quiritz: Probably the most defensive player. Very conservative almost passive playstyle. Does not require snowballing to win. Good mentality. (8/10)

Stuve: Hasn't played in ages. Can't comment. (6/10)

OrangePest: Aggressive player. Requires snowballing to win. Not good at playing from a defensive position. Good micro. Good at applying constant pressure. I particularly like his puma play. Very tiltable. (8/10)

Jae: Good OKW player. Clever player overall who is a little sloppy in terms of micro. Not great with Wehr and Soviets. Rusty. (7/10)

happycat: Very defensive playstyle. Strong Wehrmacht player. Does not give up early. Can deal with little map control. Quite strong in the late game. (7.5/10)

Elpern: Quite well rounded but kinda lacking in most departments. No particular strengths. Seems to have good tournament mentality. Better during late game. (7/10)

Paul: Very blobby wipe focused playstyle. Very inconsistent. Not untiltable. Sloppy micro. (7/10)

BaoLiang: Unique player. Sloppy micro but very clever and patient. Stronger in the late game. Only good with Vanilla factions. (7.5/10)

CreativeName: Very well rounded player. Hard to make out any particular strengths and weaknesses. Plays lots of teamgames which generally leads to a less snowballing and more patient gameplay. The hardest for me to rate. My rating is the lower bound. (8/10)

USE: Never played him, never seen him play. (?/10)

    Artem SexGod: (?/10)

Whorunbartertown: Goes for unusual strats. Aggressive con play as soviet but not always well executed. Not very consistent. His slightly off the books playstyle can catch people off guard. (7.5/10)

    Sormaple: (?/10)

    Deathcore: (?/10)

    Borobadger: 7/10

    4res: 6/10

    Bulat: 7.5/10

    Kobal: 6/10

    The Angry Dutchman: 6/10

    Oziligath: 6/10

    What's your take?

Is it possible to play a 4v4 as the allies without a teammate dropping because something didnt go their way or someone sniffed a hint of a possible loss?

Amazing Comeback...by A.I. | Company of Heroes 2 Realism Mod

    Posted: 22 Aug 2020 10:02 AM PDT

(Modding) Is it possible to edit a tunning mod?

    Posted: 22 Aug 2020 09:47 AM PDT

I know how to make a mod from scratch (which is simple), and I know how to extract and modify the .sga file from a tunning mod. But what I don't know is how to make the extracted files into a sga again. Any ideas? Thanks!

How to play 2vs2 as Sov/UKF duo

    Posted: 21 Aug 2020 10:40 PM PDT

My brother and I are a 2vs2 rank 12 duo (the one out of 20), and wonder what the meta is for that type of pairing.

Typically he goes Guard motor tactics, two mgs, cons into t70 then t85,

I go land lease 1 assualt tommy, 1 uc/another assualt tommy, 1 vickers, tech, sappers, at/assualt tommy, tech, cromwell/centaur into fireflies.

Anywhere we can improve or maps we should be banning?
