I get it if I minimize or alt enter, alt tab, soon as I go back to the game it is fucked. How've I've been successful recently against early mg42 plays for team games Posted: 17 Jun 2021 10:33 PM PDT Your first engagement is one of the most important in the entire game. It could make or break a game, and if it doesn't, it'll set the tone for the rest of the match. Its no secret that the mg42 has incredible suppression, range, arc, and most importantly, you can make it immediately making it a common part of first engagements for the osteer. This can grind allied offensives in some cases and give the axis an early game advantage in terms of fuel and munitions. What I've been doing recently is sending my early game infantry, either sections, riflemen, or concepts, up past the middle point where I think the osteer is heading towards and into the other teams side of the map. What this does is catch the mg team before they've had a chance to set up. In a good situation, this allows you to retreat their mg allowing your other infantry to catch up to the point, take the point and establish a defensive position. In an ideal scenario, you knock out an mg and get a few mg42 In an okay scenario, they are able to set up the mg or they or a teammate bring up another mg and retreat your guys but this is still okay because you now know their position, their army composition, and you've slowed them down significantly allowing your teammates and other infantry to take ground. I'm a bad scenario, you lose an infantry and you're behind on the first engagement. So this strategy has mostly been working for me but clearly has risk. Ass grens or an okw teammate force you to change strategy and even if it works you need to still back cap which takes precious time from the early game when you need guys on the front line. But overall this strategy has been working well for me so I thought I'd share. [link] [comments] | ||

Game issues remaining after the patch Posted: 17 Jun 2021 07:02 AM PDT 1) Observer mode for custom games 2) Icons for levels depending on rank 3) The ghost of the building you're trying to place down on the terrain. Used to have a red outline to tell the player where he can't place a building but that's completely absent now. 4) UI bug still not fixed, with catastrophic consequences on the map pool, causing maps to never be updated to newer and better versions because that would cause these updated maps to have the UI bug. A great example of this is Wolfheze, which was in a very advanced version when the map patch hit, but for unknown reasons the patch brought an old version of Wolfheze to the map pool that is extremely underwhelming and raw. 5) Units still sometimes become unresponsive when performing the "get down" animation when there's an explosion near them until the animation ends. That means you have to wait for the animation to end to retreat them, which can result in unnecessary squad wipes. 6) Mod tools for the community to import custom models are not available still in 2021, while they are available for coh1. 7) The game chat forum (the in game ones at the main menu) are still not working. u/tightropexilo it would be great if you or some other subreddit mod could sticky this thread so these issues can remain visible and relevant until they finally are resolved by Relic. Posted: 17 Jun 2021 06:49 PM PDT I think it's been a long time coming, especially when considering that generally the axis always had an edge in the first game since they purchased veterancy, but I've always personally thought the Allies, especially Soviets had the most OP prone units and build orders, it was just a matter of adjusting those units' actual damage outputs. I cant play a multiplayer game as its too much intense focus and doesnt afford the ability to pause... but i can watch replays. Since the 64 bit crash the replays crash almost every second game, but still i persist with it because of the convenience... if my local sportsbar showed Coh2 streams instead of the usual sports I'd probably even go to the bar and pay for overpriced beer to watch it there. Why aren't all Axis emplacements visible on the map? Posted: 17 Jun 2021 02:22 PM PDT When a bunker or UKF emplacement is seen, it appears on the map, even there isn't any vision in the area Yet when the Pak40 or Howitzer won't appear unless you have a unit within sight distance. It makes it a pain in the ass when the enemy player is turtling up and you wanna hit it from a safe distance with a mortar or something. I think this should be adjusted so it matches all other emplacements. Also Pak40 being 10 population while 17 pdr is 14 is ridiculous lol especially when it's been getting buffed recently [link] [comments] | ||
