    New Engineer Skill: Breakdown

    Posted: 29 Mar 2020 08:08 PM PDT

    Hello all,

I hate having to leave team weapons around in enemy territory after a wipe, sometimes being forced to take a 3rd AT or MG just to deny it to the enemy.

I think engineers (of all factions) should have the ability to destroy a (enemy only? friendly only?) team weapon using the skill 'breakdown'; not sure if it should cost munitions (10? 15?).

Takes about the same time as it does to scavenge for OKW, awards nothing, but destroys the team weapon.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks all,

    US Armor Co

    Posted: 29 Mar 2020 03:56 PM PDT

I came back to the game after a couple years away. Armor Company of course got a big change by requiring major, but I'm wondering if is as "bad" as folks say in 1v1. One of the only ways US can get flamethrowers, best avail of mines, and the Sherman dozer Nukes infantry. Yeah, Wolverine is sorta trash, but can make a panzer 4 cautious at least.

I get Pershing is the meta. And that probably is the best commander right now. Anybody else still use Armor Co?

what vehicles can 1v1 an AT gun?

    Posted: 29 Mar 2020 07:35 PM PDT

    Hello all,

Curious what vehicles can 1v1 an AT gun. I've seen a few try it, especially with brummbars. I imagine the flamer half-track can do it too.

Assume the AT gun is vet0 and gets a shot in on you as you close the distance. This is NOT circling around the AT gun. Just purely trying to take it out before it kills you (assume you can't get out if its arc of fire). Can any tanks do it very consistently? Sherman with HE Shell and MG? (P.S. Assume MG upgrade if available).

    Thanks all!

P.S. whats the difference between a sturmtiger and brummbar? anyone know?

edit: talking regular sized AT guns, not like the mini one the soviet doctrine gets

Bug with Soviet airborne PPSH and merging.

Has anyone else noticed a if when merging conscripts with either the ppsh guards or ppsh penals? Instead of equipping the ppsh, the merge conscripts either keep their bolt action weapons or don't have any weapons at all.

    Is USF Mortar worth it?

    Posted: 29 Mar 2020 02:39 AM PDT

As per title. I actually find myself never building it. Does it still have a rifle grenade range and sturmtiger rate of fire?

How does it stack up to the Mortar HT?

Newbie question, are anyway to assign one unit to follow other unit?

What kind of mouse do you use to play? I'm thinking of getting an MMO mouse so I can make full use of control groups, as well as binding F1-F5 to the mouse, to avoid unnecessary dragging. Do you think a MMO mouse would work with CoH2?

    Posted: 29 Mar 2020 03:27 AM PDT

My biggest gripe is the inability to reach control + 5-9, and F1-F5 even on grid keys. I can reach them, but not efficiency in the heat of battle.

I usually bind my control groups as:

1: Infantry squad 2: Infantry Squad 3: Combat Engineers 4: Tanks

It's hard for me If I want to make elite unit groups such as shock troops, or move team weapons which is why I'm considering getting a new mouse. Additionally I'm still not great at "tabbing" my units to avoid MGs and I wonder if the button was closer then I could use it consistently. Alternatively, sometimes it's better to have multiple infantry control groups and sort between them when pushing.

TL:DR: Do you think an MMO mouse would work with this game? Also, what do you use?
