How to deal with Panzer Elite?

    Posted: 03 Aug 2020 12:17 PM PDT

Hello, I'm fairly new to the series, I play CoH1 with some friends every other day or so, but there is one of them that always plays Panzer Elite and frankly I have no clue how to deal with it. The british feel too difficult to set up by the time he runs at me, and for the Americans I can get troops quicker, but his always seem to be stronger, and he beats me at points consistently even without cover, and he gets armored cars early that mess me up. The icing on all this is by the time I can get a motor pool and M8s up, all of his units have AT and I can't do anything really to handle him, any advice on how to handle what feels like a really unbalanced matchup to a newbie?

    Urban assault vs mechanized

    Posted: 03 Aug 2020 11:14 AM PDT

So I am comparing these two commanders. I really like the rifle Gernades for the REs but i wonder if they would be better with other upgrades instead like 3 bars (I usually put 2 bars on them once they get to vet 3) but I thought the wipe potential was good. I also really love the Sherman assault package and feel the Sherman can take some hits and pack a little punch and rangers with 3 zooks is awesome, while the calliope is ok. Now the mech I love the Jeep early as well as the mortar make for very aggressive play style and hide late mg flaw, the 76 is good to I'm not sure which tank I like better and cavalry rifleman seem lackluster compared to rangers to me. I would like some other opinions on this.

Its The Simple Things In Life That Matter

    Posted: 03 Aug 2020 06:22 PM PDT

Best play i ever saw was 2 Soviet players using a rolling front line of MGs and arty squads.

Its that one stupid map thats long and slim, with the annoying tree line near the bottomy bit.

The micro was what made it work, they had been practicing for the 2v2 tourney back in 2019.

Perfect timing on the MG repositioning, excellent area denial from the arty. Rolled us in minutes.

I normally lose, but this time there wasn't even a chance. Beautiful.

    Why choose mp40 over stg's?

    Posted: 03 Aug 2020 08:17 AM PDT

I got the fuersturm commander for okw and volksgrenadiers get an option to upgrade to mp40 instead of their usual stg upgrade. Is it worth it?

What happened to the other 2 parts of Bao's big balance essay he was going to release?

    Posted: 03 Aug 2020 03:49 AM PDT

I disagreed with him on most of it but it was the most interesting shake-up of balance discussion we've had in recent times.

Was looking forward to his balance mod or balance "Patch notes" so to speak and debating them with folks here etc.

    Cmon Bao, post em.
