ALL FACTION OP AND NEED A NERF Posted: 23 Oct 2020 06:53 AM PDT WE NEED TO MAKE THIS GAME BALANCED. REMOVE ALL MG'S FROM THE GAME BECAUSE THEU ARE UNFAIR. TANKS HAVE ARMOUR WHICH IS ALSO UNFAIR SO REMOVE THAT TOO. ARTILLERY IS SUCH BULLSHIT NERF TOO [link] [comments]
So we played a match in which we all chose encirclement doctrine... Posted: 23 Oct 2020 04:32 PM PDT ... And it was hilarious. I feel like the match was already decided. Although the map had 4 points that cut off their frontline from their HQ, we managed to close the pocket easily using storms and stukas. I skipped all phases and got panther in 10th minute, closed the pocket in 12th and pushed them to their HQs. My friend told me "go back, retreat, give them hope". I never felt so evil in my life. After they pushed us back (we let them take all VPs), we all closed the pocket at the same time. The match lasted maybe 17 minutes. They surrendered the 3rd time they heard stukas because they knew what was coming. TLDR It is a meme commander, all for the lolz [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Oct 2020 10:04 PM PDT What's the armour value on this ? One of them tanked 2 hits from my vet 1 p4 on the front plate . Is it the same as the standard Sherman but with less HP ( 3 shots to kill instead of 4 )? [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Oct 2020 02:22 PM PDT I bought the game during the Sega Steam sale, when it was 1$, and I've finally found the RTS for me lol. I absolutely love everything about this game, from the aesthetic to the destructible everything. HOWEVER The transition from infantry to tank warfare always throws me off. During infantry vs infantry, I shine. I absolutely love the first 10-15 minutes of the game, but when the big tanks start showing up, I have serious problems. First off, it seems like mortars do about 1% of the damage they should to tanks. That means that I can't effectively punish tanks from a distance, I have to wheel in the cannons. Unfortunately, cannons are my least favorite part of the game. Nothing in my body makes me more worried than leaving a cannon out in the field waiting to ambush a tank, then going and microing my infantry. What if it's pointed in the wrong direction? What if infantry find it instead of a tank? Then, when the tanks come, I never seem to have enough. Next to cannons, my least favorite part of the game is the tanks themselves. It always seems like the other guys have tanks better equipped for what they need to do than I do. My flamethrower tank always seems to run into an Elefant or a tank destroyer. My tank destroyers only find infantry, against which they're useless. Another issue is that I can never seem to get them back to base intact. I'm like "I'll leave them in battle until they have 1/2 HP, then pull them out." Then, 3 tank destroyers find me and I have basically 3 milliseconds to get back to base before they destroy me. Basically, I need help with cannons and tanks. Do y'all have any tips? I think the main issues are cannon (and yes I know that's not what they're called but I forgot the name) positioning and not knowing how to operate tanks well. If one of you sm4rt people could help me it would be much appreciated. [link] [comments]
Is jumping into MP the best way to learn? Posted: 23 Oct 2020 04:08 PM PDT Just got CoH2 from the super sale they were doing and I've been having a blast playing. Ive only played against bots with a friend though. I know the basics of the game, but I'm not good, at all. I was thinking that jumping into MP would be the best option. Just looking for advice. Thanks. [link] [comments]

In what way could the developers make Company of Heroes 3 (if it will ever be released?) Posted: 23 Oct 2020 01:23 AM PDT From my point of view, I really like the approach that they did on COH2 with regards to cover and how the environment changes the terrain and the overall tide of the battle. The whole Commanders cards mechanic was a nice idea but there are so many to choose from that it is difficult to keep track of, or can only be unlocked through progression so not having all the tools in your favour gave sort of an unfair advantage to your opponent because he had access to tools that were superior to yours. What I wish to see in COH3 (if it is ever comes out) is this: - a proper portrayal of the Red Army - I know that the Red Army are seen as the one who fought with tooth and nail but the portrayal of the Red Army in COH2 was more of a stereotype than an accurate portrayal. At least, the Red Army should deserve the portrayal that is similar to how it was in the war - a new army faction - the Japanese. I know that there is not much to delve into when it comes to Pacific theatre but the Japanese are an often forgotten faction of the war so maybe they get some of the spotlight in COH3. At least we get to have a new faction overall. - a different faction like the Resistance movements - I remember the Partisan mission in COH2 and I liked the idea so what if they create a faction that is limited in numbers or is slow and deliberate to produce but is very effective in stealth and espionage and can catch the enemy by surprise? - a different faction like China - few people may know this but even China had participated in WW2, esepcially against the Japanese so why not implement a different version of the "Allies" (sort of) as well. Does the "host's" PC performance matter? Posted: 23 Oct 2020 06:37 PM PDT I think the multiplayer part of the game is run server-side, but I wonder whether some parts are run client-side? I.e. would a multiplayer game run better if the one who invites others has a faster pc? [link] [comments]

Posted: 23 Oct 2020 08:55 AM PDT Hello guys, here's a Soviet doctrine that's supposed to be the offensive counterpart to Urban Defense, where it is built around fighting in areas where cover and buildings are abundant. The ability is centered around a lot of offensively minded abilities with flamethrower support as a result. Here goes: 0 CP: KV-8 Flamethrower Tank The heavy tank of this doctrine, 1 CP: Forward Rally Point This is a crossover of the Airborne Rally Points with Field Camps. It costs as much as a Field Camp, has its own medics and can act as a forward retreat point after T4 is unlocked. It cannot inspire or drop medikits. 2 CP: Shock Troops Good old Shock Troops, these guys, historically, were well armed and trained combat engineers, so this doctrine will explore their engineer side a bit. 2 CP: Assault Engineer Equipment Shock Troops can unlock the x2 ROKS Flamethrower upgrade for 120 munitions. This disables their grenades, and cannot be fired on the move. However, the upgrade also unlocks Satchel Charges as well as AT Satchel Charges. For 80 munitions, Combat Engineers can be upgraded with an additional man, x5 PPSh-41, with the same stats as the Conscript ones. They also get wire cutters, but can't get detectors or flamethrowers. 8 CP: B4 Super-Heavy Artillery Stalin's Hammer, historically heavily used at point blank range in urban combat. The player is expected to build them aggressively, support with forward rally points and crush enemy defenses in close combat. [link] [comments]

Posted: 23 Oct 2020 04:08 PM PDT I have an old workshop map I love but I can't play it with my friends because it's not on the workshop anymore. Is there a way to just copy mine and reupload it to the workshop or even just to my buddies? [link] [comments]
Any updates on the 64-bit version of the game? Posted: 23 Oct 2020 10:56 AM PDT Does anyone know approximately when the stable version is going to be released? [link] [comments]
[CoH1] Unable to build the panzer IV infantry support tank? Posted: 23 Oct 2020 09:38 AM PDT Even with the upgrade required for this, for whatever reason the icon for this tank doesn't appear at all. So, I'm completely unable to build this tank. Does anyone know why this is an issue or how to resolve it? [link] [comments]
Why am I not earning supply points? Posted: 23 Oct 2020 01:50 AM PDT I've played about 2-3 matches (approx 1 hour each) and won them all on normal mode but I'm not getting awarded? was this be because I have the free version?? [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Oct 2020 04:44 AM PDT I was playing a game with one of my friends and I had got out a Katyusha rocket launcher and I was able to consistently bombard his base and his troops as well it seemed pretty strong, but he is pretty new so that might have been his fault for bunching up his troops. Posted: 23 Oct 2020 12:00 AM PDT How does the save work? Do I have to save in every battle because I keep starting at the beginning whenever I close the game. It doesn't auto save. Sorry noob question. [link] [comments] |
