    I picked up the game after becoming hooked on watching Tightrope's casts and was excited to start playing. I have no competitive experience with past RTS games.

    I've played maybe ten online games (after playing campaign etc.) and the amount of angry players I've encountered is insane. Even though I've been on the winning side for around half of the matches, the other players were so rude/unhelpful. How is it beneficial to any of us if you just keep repeating "learn to play you #@%#" or "drop from the game #@%#" within the first few minutes.

    Is this sentiment the overwhelming one towards new players or have I just had bad luck?

    Mortar RNG feels pretty awful. I think they should be more consistent

    Imo they should have a larger aoe area and less damage. Firing a barrage with vision on an mg and not doing even half its hp sucks ass, esp if you have infantry bleeding for vision.

    Likewise, having a lucky autofire mortar hit just wipe or nearly wipe an entire vetted squad just feels cheap.

    Mortars are the direct counters to hmg's but you can't rely on them.

    Using smoke only works if you have more cqc power.... which is unlikely because you have 240mp invested in a mortar, and the repositioned mg will punish you pushing into the smoke.

    Why are mortars so inconsistent? Is just feels awful, and is probably why Light Vehicles are a must buy.

    Imo this is why people try their hardest to avoid mortars, they just aren't reliable compared to HMG's and infantry.

    Anyone else think mortars should be more consistent?

    SOV Airborne Commander (Tweaks?)

    Am I the only one who thinks that the Airborne Russian Commander is a tragedy and a missed opportunity for a GREAT SOV Commander?

    A couple of Tweak Suggestions by me and the reasoning why.

    • Change the Call-in Paras to Paradrop Paras (Paras that drop to their location rather than walking to it). This is obvious as to why this change should be made, no changes to MP or popcap cost.

    • Change the AT Rocket Strafe IL-2 to an AT Rocket IL-2 Loiter OR an IL-2 4x 250 Pound Bomb Drop (Increase the Munitions cost obviously) This doctrine has an incredibly lackluster arty ability as it has a tendency to either miss narrowly it's rockets, or even if it does hit, does little damage if not ALL the rockets connect.

    • Add two upgrades to the foward bases, one being medics, and the other being a retreat point (meaning that you must build two in order to get meds AND a retreat point), and lower the cost for the bases to compensate. The foward bases, while being a MUCH needed addition to the Soviets (who don't have any by default) are somewhat curbed in their potential by the ridiculous cost they have, and the lack of a healing option that doesn't require constant micro.

    • No Changes to the weapon upgrade paradrop.

    • Buff the goddamn paras because even with their damn 3x LMGs they're mediocre at best. Considering they don't have AT-Rifles AND don't get access to the button ability (which KILLS their versatility), they should be much better anti-infantry to compensate (which they aren't atm).

    • Change the DShK Drop-in to a Munitions Base Drop In (Costing MP or Fuel, or Both). Now, the reasoning behind this is that this doctrine, and the soviets in general, are very Munitions reliant (more so than other factions) who in order to keep their infantry competitive, need to upgrade them and constantly micro + use active abilities with them (great example of this being conscripts who will get FUCKED if you don't keep them in cover in every engagement and need to use "ura" and molotovs to compete AND need the 7 man or a doctrinal upgrade to scale against Axis Inf). This would greatly buff this doctrine and ACTUALLY make it a good and viable option among the other "go to" Soviet Commanders.

    As a closing statement, y'all can give your 2 Cents about this and I'll GLADLY listen to any constructive criticism about it. Just give me your reasoning behind it and we can respectfully debate about it.

    Are Brit snares bugged too?

    I've just played 3 games.

    Engineers snares are really, really unreliable. Often they just don't fire and I found when I had 2 units and enough ammo for both to fire selecting them both and activating it only allows one of them to fire.

    Then you have to faff about clicking to see which one. Obs in the middle of battle this is a huge waste of time.

    I also found that my 2 units seem to get "unnerved" by a P4 that is on top of them and they just didn't fire, getting shot and MG'ed in the process.

    It's bad enough that Brits have a lame snare (you have to get very close already!) but if it's bugged to...? FML as someone who tries to play Brits I guess.

    When I first started playing (back in 2015) I found a spreadsheet on the forums that outlined accuracy, damage and overall DPS of the units. I was wondering if anyone had an updated one. I'll post the link if I can find it of the old one if anyone wants it
