    Anymore balance patch?

    Posted: 19 Oct 2020 08:52 AM PDT

While the game is pretty balanced now, can we expect a minor balance patch to give OKW a little boost as it is simply the weakest faction in the game currently?

    USF Pacific Company

    Posted: 19 Oct 2020 04:47 PM PDT

Just another hypothetical doctrine idea here... sorta trying to weasel the US Marines into the game as a company because it would be cool to have US pacific forces and Japanese forces IMO. So here's an idea to use them as some flavor on USF instead of a whole faction somehow:

    0 CP - Fighting Retreat

    • (passive) Riflemen and officers gain the "To the Last Man" passive ability, and can now fire-on-the-move while retreating

    0 CP - Hospital Corpsmen

    • Ambulance has 25% more HP and can be upgraded with armored skirting
    • Medic squad is armed with grease guns

0 CP - Auxiliary Mechanized Flame Throwers

    1 CP - Seabees

    • Same as Assault Engineers, except armed with M1 carbines. Can upgrade to 2 Thompsons instead of a flamethrower

4 CP - Cover to Cover

    • Same as Urban Assault Company

So basically an infantry-focused anti-infantry doctrine. Resilient mainline troops that never stop fighting and have a good "invasion" option with cover-to-cover. Flamethrower upgrades on the Stuart/Sherman help you displace dug-in troops. And you have combat engineering and medical support from the Navy. Pretty simple and not really OP in any way I think.

Company of Heroes mobile questions while I am waiting to buy

    Posted: 19 Oct 2020 10:18 AM PDT

I'm waiting for Feral to add support for my LG Velvet phone. It is totally capable of running this game despite what they say. For heavens sakes, they support the razer flip phone!!! Anyways I have some questions:

Any expansion packs ported yet? Is there mouse and keyboard support for this android port? (I'm without a stable home since forest fire) Is the full soundtrack present? Is it too much to expect the brits or panzer elite to be added? Are the graphics as good as Feral says they are? Any problems with touch controls? Is the AI well ported and comparable to desktop pc's? Is there a community map making thing for mobile?

WHY IS FERAL SO STINGY TO ALLOW DOWNLOADS EVEN WHEN SO MANY COMPARABLE DEVICES TO SAMSUNGS LIKE LG PHONES AND MOTOROLAS ARE 100% CAPABLE OF RUNNING THE GAME?

OKW Medical truck as retreat point: "unlock" ?!

    Posted: 19 Oct 2020 05:15 AM PDT

Once the OKW Medic Truck is set-up and after it's upgraded to medics... the retreat point upgrade isn't available (still grayed out)? What has to happen for this upgrade to unlock? It will randomly unlock much later in the match, can't figure out what triggers it...

Also, the "supply truck" in Fuhurstorm Doctrine.... can this be used as retreat point/health/squad reinforcement point or only some of the above? What's the benefit of the truck over the medic truck?

any games out there like the spearhead mod?

    Posted: 19 Oct 2020 06:39 AM PDT

So like I been playing this mod [spearhead] on COH2 and i cant play without it because it adds like a realistic factor to the game. When your troops are not in cover they die faster and the range of the guns are like twice or tripled and the camera is way up higher so I just cant play without it anymore but it kinda sucks sometimes because your game crashes when there are too many details on the map or troops because the game is old and cant handle the physics. Does any of u know something similar to what I said above?

    Mobile Tank Hunter Company

    Posted: 19 Oct 2020 06:30 AM PDT

Here's a doctrine idea for USF; My first in a long while, that should both be refreshing as well as centered around a core of anti-tank units, making them more versatile to promote their inclusion in your combined armies.

    0 CP: Tank Hunter Training

Riflemen, Liutenant, Captain and Cavalry Riflemen will use the Elite Bazooka instead of regular Bazookas, dealing more damage with greater penetration. Bazooka Hits from these units will also apply a temporary debuff to the enemy target, reducing its armor by 35%.

    0 CP: M10 Tank Destroyer

The smaller, nimbler cousin of M36, it's quite cost effective and thematically fitting. It will also have a new trick up its sleeve in this doctrine.

    1 CP: Cavalry Riflemen

With their AT satchels, and Tank Hunter Training, Cavalry Riflemen will be quite good at becoming mini-Rangers, either by combining a Bazooka with Thompsons or by fully committing to Bazookas.

    6 CP: White Phosphorus Munitions

M36 Jackson and M10 Wolverine will be able to swap to White Phosphorus munitions, which they can fire at will. Switching costs munitions, but is otherwise free to use until the player switches back. HVAP cannot be used while in this mode.

M36's shells, owing to their larger size and the much higher cost of the unit, have a larger area of effect.

    12 CP: P47 Rocket Run

The same swarm from Airborne Company, P47 Rockets are rather expensive, in turn decimating slow-witted armor units.

OKW are OP. I know, I just played as them.

    Posted: 19 Oct 2020 02:50 PM PDT

Yep. There were no Axis to play against as my main (only) faction - the Brits, so I tried playing as OKW for maybe the 5th time.

I was matched against the US and I lost.

However, I lost because I didn't know what I was doing. If I had I'd have walked it I'm sure. I managed to get a Jagdpanther out!

    What I noticed:

    • Units are really resilient. It was real messy play that lost me my first unit.
    • I was floating MP a LOT. I had upto 700 MP spare several times and nothing to do with it but build and extra MG and AT rocket unit.
    • Cover was FAR less important than for Brits.
    • I did find myself a bit short on fuel to buy armour, but getting all trucks and the Schwer AA unlock wasn't hard.
    • Despite my fuel complaint I managed to get out: a Luch, 2 stukas , 2 pumas, 2 flak half tracks. Not all at once, but it wasn't hard to get them.
    • I had so much ammunition I had nothing to do with it. I had 2 pioneers with AT, 2 grenadiers with STG upgrades, 2 obersoldaten with LMGs... and enough ammo for whatever nades or fausts I wanted.

I'm comparing it to playing Brits, which is fighting by the skin of your teeth, struggling to get enough fuel, struggling to get AT out that's going to be useful against fast Luchs or an AC.

    What a joke.
