Just this year (lockdown) we have gotten back into it after many years We bought COH 2 when it came out, but never really got into it, especially the cold mechanic So instead we play custom maps of COH , normally 2v2 or 3v3 Are we crazy - should we be playing COH 2 ? Stutters and freezes since winter patch Posted: 07 Apr 2021 08:55 PM PDT I was in denial about this being a game issue for a while and assumed it was my connection. My connection has been stable and the problems have been a sporadic issue since this patch. I'm on a AMD Ryzen 5 3500X. Never had performance issues with this game before. Anyone having similar problems? Is there a fix? Ive been having crashes now and then since the 64 bit patch but I could live through that. The game is nearly unplayable right now. Posted: 07 Apr 2021 07:43 AM PDT So I'm an avid player of the Blitzkrieg mod for Coh1 it really adds to the realism and accuracy for the time period but Coh2 has a few extra quality of life things that add more flavour than Coh1. I know of Spearhead, Wikknger and BKmod2 but does anyone have any recommendations on specifically which ones are best and if theres any I missed? My Company of Heroes 3 Idea (Comment your ideas) Posted: 07 Apr 2021 12:26 AM PDT My company of heroes 3 idea would be a North Africa/Italy campaign with your option to choose between German, Italian, British, and American armies for PvP/multiplayer. I know tanks are a huge part to Company of Heroes PvP/multiplayer so there might be a little concern from some people for the Italian army on that front. To balance the Italian army's tanks with that of the Allies', Relic could implement German tanks into the Italian army in game that were actually used by the Italians in North Africa and Italy. Albeit few were actually produced for and used by the Italian army in the North Africa/Italian campaign, they were still technically used by the Italian army in North Africa/Italy and could be implemented in game. The Pershing saw little action in WW2 (mostly Korea) yet it is still in Company of Heroes 2, which is something I have no problem with. Just like the Pershing, the Panzer IV Ausf G and Panzer III Ausf N were scarcely used in North Africa and Italy by the Italians but it still could fit in the game and stay true to Company of Heroes' realism while also helping to balance the Italian Army's capabilities. These tanks have comparable armor and firepower to that of their Allied counterparts for this theatre. Relic could also add vehicles such as the Hummel for the Germany army, which was used in Italy. The Hummel and it's powerful 105 millimeter gun could be used as a mobile artillery piece, such as the Sexton used by the British army, or it could be used as an anti-tank weapon. Relic can sort out the details on how that can be implemented in game. The point is there is plenty of new content, vehicles and units to be created from the North Africa/Italy campaign and it would make for a great Company of Heroes 3 game. My initial thought for a DLC would be a Scandinavian campaign, introducing a second Germany army and a Soviet army to also be added to the list of PvP/multiplayer armies to choose from. Yes, I know the Soviets were not nearly as active in the Scandinavian front as much as the Germans, but like my point about having scarcely used German tank variants in the Italian army to balance gameplay, I think adding adding another Allied army would be useful and add another element to the game. Which is exactly what you'd hope for from a DLC. Let me know your thoughts about this idea in the comments and share your ideas as well! [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 07 Apr 2021 08:49 AM PDT I've rack up over a thousand hours pretty much exclusively in automatch VS ai and I randomly decided to play a 1v1 for once. To my surprise the AI actually picked a commander, which I've never witnessed in all my play time. And the AI actually used the abilities, dropped frag bombs on me, used the medical drop, spammed recon runs... (luftwaffe supply doctrine). Why isn't this a thing in bigger matches? M7 mines to also trigger on Infantry Posted: 07 Apr 2021 07:08 AM PDT Possibly a solution to the lack of non-doctrinal AP mines for USF. What do you all think? Also, if any of the balance team would like to chime in, what was the initial thought process, or findings in-game, behind not allowing them to trigger on Infantry? There was a brief period during a past balance patch iteration where they functioned this way. Let's say it does happen. The buffs to its plant time should be reverted and the cost increased. Posted: 07 Apr 2021 06:21 AM PDT I just bought the game yesterday, and downloaded it. But when I press "play" on the steam page, it'll have a pop-up say "Preparing to launch CoH2" for about 2 seconds than the "play" button will turn blue saying "cancel" and then go back to green again. Does anyone have a fix for this? Edit: I fixed it after uninstalling and then re-installing. [link] [comments] |
