I can only do so much at once you know, it would be nice if my emplacements could turn themselves instead of sitting there taking the mick out themselves while a panzer blasts them away. | Posted: 05 Jun 2021 11:32 AM PDT I'm really surprised that in over 3,000 hours I've played this game as both allies and axis with friends or alone in 1 v 1s I can count on two hands the amount of times a player has played Overwatch while I was Allies. Me being an Overwatch main, I'm a bit surprised since Overwatch arguably has the best utility in every player count of the OKW Doctrines. Jaeger Light Infantry have stealth, cheap sprint and and an excellent grenade, the ability to ambush, highly accurate and a base received accuracy of 80% with the ability to upgrade to G43s for 65 munis which wipe infantry below 75% health. Two of them together with G43s can quickly wipe team support weapons. and take down shocks before they reach them. Don't forget that they can see at a distance of 50 which makes them perfect for pre sighting for Tanks, Raketenwerfer and for intelligence purposes. You also have the ability to set flares down on capture points to reveal the extent of forces in any given sector. It costs nothing to use save a few seconds for build time, and lights up almost the entire sector. Don't forget about Goliaths, essentially mobile demo packs which have the ability to hide in cover, and remain hidden while moving in cover. Depending on the map, these little shits can wipe support weapons, emplacements. You can also hide them along retreat paths to wipe retreating blobs and completely cripple someone's economy for the next 10 minutes by doing so. My record for blob wipe in a 1 v 1 is 3 squads of riflemen a captain and a lieutenant at once. At only 100 munis, it's a miracle no one has decided to make it more expensive, esp since OKW is not an ammunition reliant faction. I've very rarely seen the general player population use ammunition commander abilities like 'For the Fatherland' which is crazy since you receive 30% less damage, are 20% harder to hit and prevents you from being suppressed. Combine that with Jaegers in friendly territory and they become practically invulnerable and their models impossible to kill without indirect. Everyone who plays this game already knows the LEFH is the best god damn howitzer in the game (currently). Crazy accuracy at extreme ranges. Combine that with the flexibility of OKW HQ placement and you can create a firebase which will replace loses and heal the infantry on the Howitzer. The Howitzer, you may find surprising, is VERY useful on 1 v 1s. After you've built your first medium tank, you can build one right outside your base to shell the shit out of the enemy's headquarters once he's given the order to retreat some of his squads. More often then not, the bombardment of the HQ will net you quite a few kills, and even wipe some of his squads. 1 v 1 maps being what they are, usually condensed, allows for the Howitzer to fire from anywhere in relative safety. Finally the Stuka Attack, works wonders against Allied medium and light armor as well as suppress infantry in a very wide area. Many a Jackson or SU-85 has been ripped apart by the cannons from the Stuka. Best Bulletins for Overwatch I've found to be Volksgrenadier 10% Harder to Suppress, Goliath 5% movement speed increase, and the 4% increased armor penetration on the Raketenwerfer. Balanced Build for 1 v 1 for me isKubelwagon, x 2 Volks, x 2 Jaeger, Luchs, x 2 Raketen, x 1 LEFH, Panther, Spam Goliath as soon as 100 Muni is reached AFTER giving Jaegers G43s, User Preference on what's next to fill up Pop Balanced Build Team Games. You may need two howitzers to deal with the increased amount of infantry and chaos. TLDR; Don't be fooled by the flashiness of the heavy tanks of other OKW doctrines, most times you will lose them to bad pathing and be super sad. Choose a doctrine with utility over flashy tanks. I have followed the standard build with 3 x volksgrenadiers, but several doctrines allow me to build panzerfusiliers for 20 more manpower. Question 1: Is panzerfusiliers better than volksgrenadiers? Question 2: I love using my sturmpioneers and surprising enemy infantry squads with their awesome close range DPS. Is using nothing but sturmpioneers viable (not using volksgrenadiers or panzerfusiliers) until you unlock obersoldaten viable? [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 05 Jun 2021 01:13 AM PDT Two days ago, I started to play with Ostheer for the first time, after a fairly long time playing with the Soviet faction only. The thing that was annoying while playing this faction is their accent! The voice of the Soviets was strong and really fits a battle situation. On the other hand, German voice was very quiet like someone who have catched a cold and lost the ability to shout! I know some Russian and I have heard people speaking it, but I don't know anything about German. So does the German people really talk like that in a war situation? [link] [comments] | ||
